Don't guess.

Ask yourself:
• If I take him to surgery now, will he bleed?
• If I delay surgery, will he have an ischemic event?

To lessen his risk of bleeding while avoiding an increased risk of thrombosis, you may currently rely on a test that provides an inhibition value for the patient’s reduction in platelet function, e.g. 50%.

But does this assessment of the patient’s level of inhibition help you answer these questions?
